Use the carousel below to learn more about the Macro Asset Prospective® planning process.
Introduction
We use a proprietary process called MAP, or Macro Asset Perspective®. In this process, our advisors deal with protection of assets, accumulation of wealth, building retirement income that cannot be outlived and leaving a lasting legacy.
The Process
During our process, first we introduce the scope of the work that we do and explain how New York Life provides products and services solutions to our clients. From there, we engage our clients in a Discovery process to uncover their objectives and current financial state... [Read More]We then do a thorough Analysis of the Discovery Data and engage our team of professionals to develop a Summary Plan and Recommendations. We then Educate our clients as to their options and help them take Action to implement the plan. For many of our clients, they will then move from the MAP Foundations process to the full MAP, which more deals with the accumulation and placement of assets. Our goal is to develop lifetime partnerships with our clients to add value for them.[Read Less]
Our Role
In this process, we act as a Problem-Solving Coordinator for our clients. We interact with the client’s team of professionals, develop action items and follow-up on those items to ensure that the plan is implemented.
Digging Into the MAP
The 12 green boxes in the image to the left represent the foundation of risk management planning. From there, our certified MAP Advisors can create a more comprehensive asset allocation model of your current assets and cash flow.
“Let us be grateful to people who make us happy; they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom.”

Business Services
Here at Wahby Financial Group LLC, we offer a wide array of services to help business owners address their financial needs at every stage of the business life cycle. Taking into account their personal values and financial goals, we create and help you execute customized strategies to help entrepreneurs meet their objectives. Some of our key services are detailed below.
Executive Benefits
The success of most businesses is tied in to the talent, passion, and work ethics of their key executives. Executive benefit packages can help you attract, motivate, and retain high-caliber employees and keep your company healthy and stable. We can help you with funding non-qualified plans, supplemental employee retirement plans, split dollar plans, and more.
Succession Planning
Succession planning allows owners to retire from their business within their own time frame, while preparing for the company to be transferred to family members, key employees, an outside party, or even a charity. This must be done in a way that achieves personal financial security, maintains harmony, and achieves maximum value for the business. We can provide financial strategies for succession planning.
Key Person Insurance
Key person life insurance offers a death benefit that helps indemnify an employer for the loss of one of its most important assets—the key person. This can help assure continuity of the business for employees, customers, and creditors, and protects against losses in sales, momentum, and credit. It can also be used to assist with recruiting and developing a replacement for the employee.
Funding Buy-Sell Agreements
A buy-sell agreement is a legally binding agreement between co-owners of a business that governs the situation if a co-owner dies or leaves the business, whether by force or by choice. A funded cross-purchase buy-sell plan utilizes life insurance to help ensure that the arrangement is properly funded so that there will be money if the event occurs.
Funding Deferred Compensation
Deferred compensation is a written agreement between an employer and an employee in which the employee chooses to have part of his or her compensation withheld by the company, invested on their behalf, and distributed to them at a predetermined point in the future. Deferred compensation can be used as a flexible way to attract and incentivize key employees. We provide funding strategies for deferred compensation.

Family Protection
We help determine if you and your family is properly protected from premature death, disability, or a long-term care event. We help individuals and families find innovative, cutting-edge products and services to help them grow, protect and conserve their wealth. To help you execute a sound retirement strategy, asset and income protection are important. Designing a plan that encompasses managing costs for extended periods of care and disability insurance can help create the necessary balance in a portfolio to ensure stability and protection of assets.
Products available through one or more carriers not affiliated with New York Life Insurance Company, dependent on carrier authorization and product availability in your state or locality.
Estate and Legacy Planning
A well-engineered estate conservation plan can help minimize tax liability and ensure that loved ones are protected. We will work with you and your advisors to assess the impact of state and federal taxes on your estate and suggest strategies to help minimize those taxes while meeting your family’s needs. With our strategic partner, The Nautilus Group, we will review estate planning documents and many times will help find ways to improve your current strategies.
Elements of an Estate Plan
Living Will
A living will, also known as an advance directive, is a declaration of the life-sustaining medical treatments you will or will not allow in the event you become incapacitated. Absent a living will, the laws in your state will determine who will make your health-care decisions.
Medical Power of Attorney
A medical power of attorney authorizes a person to make medical decisions on your behalf- ideally to carry out what you have specified in your living will. It is recommended that you consult with your power of attorney first to be sure the person understands your wishes, is comfortable with them, and will be strong enough to carry them out even if family members may object.
Financial Power of Attorney
A financial power of attorney allows you to designate someone to perform actions for you should you become ill, incapacitated, or otherwise unable to manage your affairs. This could include paying bills, selling securities, or making major financial decisions on your behalf. Without a power of attorney, your loved ones will have to go through the delay and expense of seeking approval from the court to carry out needed financial transactions.
Revocable Living Trust
A revocable living trust (RLT) is an arrangement whereby you transfer ownership of property into a trust during your lifetime. An RLT can be used as a substitute for a will in many respects by providing for the distribution of assets upon your death. Unlike a will, an RLT can be established to govern the distribution and use of the trust assets during your lifetime, which can make it a useful planning tool in the event you become incapacitated.
Will
A will is a legal document that stipulates where you want your estate’s assets to go after debts and taxes are paid and who is going to oversee the administration of your estate upon death. It also specifies who will care for your minor children. Without a will, your property would pass according to your state’s intestacy statues, which could be counter to your intentions. Generally, it is recommended that you have your will reviewed by an attorney at least every three or four years and upon the occurrence of major life events such as the birth of a child or grandchild, the marriage of a child, divorce, or the death of an heir.
Special Needs Planning
A special needs trust (SNT), a specific type of irrevocable trust is created to hold property for a beneficiary with special needs. If you have a loved one with special needs, you might consider creating an SNT that is administered as soon as possible after your death. The SNT will name a guardian or guardians and ensure that the right amount of assets and income are available to provide your love one with the best quality of life possible. It is highly advisable that you work with an estate-planning attorney who specializes in special-needs planning.
Business Owners
Typically, a business owner’s business is the largest asset in an estate. Therefore, succession planning is highly advisable to determine who your successor will be or how you wish to divide the business, or whether your business should be sold upon your death.
Trusts
A trust is like a will in that both trust and will documents are written sets of instruction detailing the transfer of property. A will, however, takes effect only at your death, whereas a trust can take effect both during your life and after your death. In addition, most trusts deal only with specific assets or property. A will governs the overall distribution of nearly everything that makes up your estate.
Wealth Management and Retirement Planning
Taking into account your needs, goals, and tolerance for risk, we will work with you to bring clarity to what you want to achieve and how to get there. Some of our key services are detailed below.
401(k) and IRA Rollovers
When you leave a job or retire, you have a decision to make regarding your 401(k) money. While leaving those assets in the former employer's plan is an option, a rollover can be a consideration. Working with your tax advisor, we can help you determine the right course of action for you. This may include: leaving the funds in your existing plan, if permitted, or rolling them into your new employer's plan, if one is available and rollovers are permitted. Each choice offers advantages and disadvantages, depending on your specific needs and retirement plan, such as the desired investment options and services, applicable fees, expenses, and withdrawal options, as well as required minimum distributions and tax treatment of applicable options.
Neither New York Life Insurance Company nor its agents offer tax advice.
