Behind the Logo
Wahby Financial Group, LLC is a full-service wealth management practice that
helps clients with protection planning, wealth management and retirement planning,
estate and legacy planning, business succession and exit planning, executive
benefits, and philanthropy.
A colorful spinning Kaleidoscope is the logo of Wahby Financial Group, LLC,
symbolizing the unique beauty in each life, and the changing emotions, needs,
wants and abilities that guide people on their individual paths. The spinning bits
of brilliant jewels are constantly changing shapes and colors...these are like the
days of our lives. No two days are alike. No two people are alike. There is always
a new way to look at life. Marcel Proust said, "The real voyage of discovery is
not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes." With our new eyes keenly
focused on your multidimensional, ever-changing, exciting future, and our
kaleidoscopic array of talent, special needs experience and economic insight,
Wahby Financial Group, LLC is here to help you build wealth for life.
January of 2024 marks my 10th year anniversary of WFG.
After 24 years in corporate America, I launched Wahby Financial Group in 2014. To
say it went by quickly is an understatement. So many things have changed in our
lives over these last years, and we have weathered the markets, inflation,
interest rate hikes, THE PANDEMIC, and the Jaguars' losing season this year when
we thought the Playoffs were in the bag. My one and only daughter went off to
college, which allowed me to work harder to ease my pain. I am proud to say there
is only "one more year to go," and I hope she will return to Ponte Vedra. I can
only pray.
I love the team we have built here, too, at WFG, and I hope you feel that we are
always accessible to you. The new young professional staff member we have hired is
Nina and she already impacting our office and our conversations with you.
Additionally, we welcomed a new agent in training, Amy.
Four years into our practice, many of you know we got a gift from a client/friend
(because all my clients are my friends), and she gave us Bear. Bear has continued
to charm everyone that walks in our doors. He has been a true gift to my family
and me, and I know many of you pop in just to see him. I know you didn't stop by
to see me!
Of our original dream team: Rachel had a baby boy, Cameron, who we all can't wait
to spoil and take dibs on babysitting. Guzman got married to Jenny (Say What?),
and he turned 50. Ashley got a new dog, Jo-Jo, as her beloved Toby, whom she had
had for almost 20 years, passed away. Michele remains dedicated to helping our
clients on their financial journey. Lastly, my Dad, Darrell, continues to run the
office on a part-time basis as his main job is caring for Christopher, who will be
54 this year.
I want to say thank you to All of YOU who have trusted me with your families'
care. I don't take it lightly that you have put your trust in us. You are
beautifully different as clients, but you are the same in your thirst for
knowledge and desire for protection and financial security for those you love.

Wahby Financial Group is proud to be certified to offer the Macro Asset
Perspective® planning process. Through this unique educational approach, we
can help you better plan for retirement. Whatever stage of life you are in, whether you
are working to grow your assets or your assets are working to provide your retirement
income, you are likely to glean value from the principles, processes and strategies
found in the Macro Asset Perspective®.
The Macro Asset Perspective® helps you implement a balanced approach to your
personal accumulation and income combining time-tested principles of risk management
with sensible strategies for long-term tax-reduction giving you the potential to
increase your net spendable income in retirement.
While this process was originally developed for a physician's network on the west coast
and high-tech engineers in the Silicon Valley, it has been successfully adopted by
people of all walks of life and taught at workshops for employees at a number of Fortune
500 companies. Use the carousel below to learn more about the Macro Asset
Prospective® planning process.
Introduction
We use a proprietary process called MAP, or Macro Asset Perspective®. In this
process, our advisors deal with protection of assets, accumulation of wealth,
building retirement income that cannot be outlived and leaving a lasting legacy.
The Process
During our process, first we introduce the scope of the work that we do and
explain how New York Life provides products and services solutions to our clients.
From there, we engage our clients in a Discovery process to uncover their
objectives and current financial state... [Read
More]We then do a thorough Analysis of the
Discovery Data and engage our team of professionals to develop a Summary Plan
and Recommendations. We then Educate our clients as to their options and help
them take Action to implement the plan. For many of our clients, they will then
move from the MAP Foundations process to the full MAP, which more deals with the
accumulation and placement of assets. Our goal is to develop lifetime
partnerships with our clients to add value for them.[Read Less]
Our Role
In this process, we act as a Problem-Solving Coordinator for our clients. We
interact with the client’s team of professionals, develop action items and
follow-up on those items to ensure that the plan is implemented.
Digging Into the MAP
The 12 green boxes in the image to the left represent the foundation of risk
management planning. From there, our certified MAP Advisors can create a more
comprehensive asset allocation model of your current assets and cash flow.

one can take for us or spare us.”
Robin Wahby, founder, and CEO of Wahby Financial Group, helps families, businesses, and nonprofits identify opportunities that increase their financial position and enjoy a better quality of life. As a fiduciary in her investment advisory work, Robin is a financial advisor who believes that the one thing everyone has in common is the desire for financial security.
As a big sister to her developmentally disabled and quadriplegic brother,
Christopher, Robin understands the need for planning is vital at each part of
the aging process. Robin got her CLU® designation to better help families make
smart estate planning decisions. This designation for insurance and estate
planning professionals is comparable to the CPA designation for accounting
professionals.
Robin believes people make better decisions and develop more meaningful
relationships when they aren’t worried about money.
While discussing financial well-being with her clients, she has identified
these 5 critical opportunities:
An uncomplicated approach to financial success
An educational process that merges the principles of asset allocation with
tax diversity.
Having a real plan with a strategy and easy to understand steps.
Evaluating if their portfolio is truly “diversified” and if not, what to do
about it.
What estate planning really means in terms of asset protection, tax relief,
and catastrophic expenses such as long-term care or legal actions.

Guzman Castro is a Financial Planner at Wahby Financial Group in Jacksonville
Beach, FL.
His profound belief that God makes us all perfectly in His image motivates
Guzman to guide his clients confidently, carefully, and humbly in improving
their financial paths. He believes nobody cares how much you know until they
know how much you care. He proves he cares about each of his clients by taking
the time with each client to understand, clarify, and prioritize THEIR financial
goals, whether the primary goal is to minimize taxation and efficiently manage
generational wealth or getting on the right side of retirement goals.
He watched his 98-year-old grandmother surprisingly outlive her wealth at age
85; therefore, his parents became the unplanned financial support for the
13-year financial shortfall.
He also witnessed the conflicts this created between his parents. This is
another reason Guzman cares so much for his clients’ improved financial paths;
he does not want them to outlive their money. This is why he spends so much time
trying to understand the whole picture, having honest (sometimes “tough love”)
conversations, and educating his clients on all the products available to them
to preserve and transfer their wealth.
He is an actively engaged resident of Jacksonville Beach Community, where he
lives with his wife Jenny Castro (aka. Best Banker in Town) and four children.
He remains actively engaged in his community through the Oceanside
Rotary (who, among many things, funded the Atlantic Beach Skate Park.) and
the Jacksonville Chamber of
Commerce-Beaches Division. He also volunteers with organizations such as
Beaches Habitat, BEAM, the USO, Beaches Boys and Girls Club, Beaches Community
Kitchen, and more.
Fun facts you may not know about Guzman:
His family was transferred to Miami in 1975 (he was one) by his father’s
employer.
At the age of four, he won the “Macho Man Contest” at his daycare (in Miami,
where he grew up), ironically by wearing a rather glamourous costume and
performing a dance as if nobody was watching.
In the third grade, he crushed vocals at the Talent Show, singing about
Uruguay’s national soccer team winning the South American championship.
At his all-boys high school, he Chaired the Spirit Committee and was the 1st
Chair Alto Saxophone player in the non-marching band. He also captained the
soccer team and was the leading goal scorer in Miami-Dade County in his senior
year. He was recently inducted into his high school Athletic Hall of Fame due
to his high school soccer performance.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree (in Graphic Design) from
Drexel University while on a 4-year Division 1 soccer scholarship.
After college, he backpacked alone through western Europe and Scandinavia
for four months.
Then he spent 18 years in the wine industry, where he started two
distributors (Miami and Chicago), a national importer, and a brand development
division that created the 2nd largest brand from Argentina in the USA within
three years of launch and landing distribution agreements for said brand in
Iceland, Singapore, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands.
Two-time recipient (Florida and North Carolina) of the “National Businessman
of the Year Award” by the National Republican Congressional Committee
He remains active, playing soccer, golf, RV’ing, and fishing.

Business Services
Here at Wahby Financial Group LLC, we offer a wide array of services to help business
owners address their financial needs at every stage of the business life cycle. Taking
into account their personal values and financial goals, we create and help you execute
customized strategies to help entrepreneurs meet their objectives. Some of our key
services are detailed below.
Executive Benefits
The success of most businesses is tied in to the talent, passion, and work ethics of
their key executives. Executive benefit packages can help you attract, motivate, and
retain high-caliber employees and keep your company healthy and stable. We can help
you with funding non-qualified plans, supplemental employee retirement plans, split
dollar plans, and more.
Succession Planning
Succession planning allows owners to retire from their business within their own time
frame, while preparing for the company to be transferred to family members, key
employees, an outside party, or even a charity. This must be done in a way that
achieves personal financial security, maintains harmony, and achieves maximum value
for the business. We can provide financial strategies for succession planning.
Key Person Insurance
Key person life insurance offers a death benefit that helps indemnify an employer for
the loss of one of its most important assets—the key person. This can help assure
continuity of the business for employees, customers, and creditors, and protects
against losses in sales, momentum, and credit. It can also be used to assist with
recruiting and developing a replacement for the employee.
Funding Buy-Sell Agreements
A buy-sell agreement is a legally binding agreement between co-owners of a business
that governs the situation if a co-owner dies or leaves the business, whether by force
or by choice. A funded cross-purchase buy-sell plan utilizes life insurance to help
ensure that the arrangement is properly funded so that there will be money if the
event occurs.
Funding Deferred Compensation
Deferred compensation is a written agreement between an employer and an employee in
which the employee chooses to have part of his or her compensation withheld by the
company, invested on their behalf, and distributed to them at a predetermined point in
the future. Deferred compensation can be used as a flexible way to attract and
incentivize key employees. We provide funding strategies for deferred compensation.

Family Protection
We help determine if you and your family is properly protected from premature death,
disability, or a long-term care event. We help individuals and families find
innovative, cutting-edge products and services to help them grow, protect and conserve
their wealth. To help you execute a sound retirement strategy, asset and income
protection are important. Designing a plan that encompasses managing costs for
extended periods of care and disability insurance can help create the necessary
balance in a portfolio to ensure stability and protection of assets.
Products available through one or more carriers not affiliated
with New York Life Insurance Company, dependent on carrier authorization and product
availability in your state or locality.
Estate and Legacy Planning
A well-engineered estate conservation plan can help minimize tax liability and ensure
that loved ones are protected. We will work with you and your advisors to assess the
impact of state and federal taxes on your estate and suggest strategies to help
minimize those taxes while meeting your family’s needs. With our strategic partner,
The Nautilus Group, we will review estate planning documents and many times will help
find ways to improve your current strategies.
Elements of an Estate Plan
Living Will
A living will, also known as an advance directive, is a declaration of the
life-sustaining medical treatments you will or will not allow in the event you become
incapacitated. Absent a living will, the laws in your state will determine who will
make your health-care decisions.
Medical Power of Attorney
A medical power of attorney authorizes a person to make medical decisions on your
behalf- ideally to carry out what you have specified in your living will. It is
recommended that you consult with your power of attorney first to be sure the person
understands your wishes, is comfortable with them, and will be strong enough to carry
them out even if family members may object.
Financial Power of Attorney
A financial power of attorney allows you to designate someone to perform actions for
you should you become ill, incapacitated, or otherwise unable to manage your affairs.
This could include paying bills, selling securities, or making major financial
decisions on your behalf. Without a power of attorney, your loved ones will have to go
through the delay and expense of seeking approval from the court to carry out needed
financial transactions.
Revocable Living Trust
A revocable living trust (RLT) is an arrangement whereby you transfer ownership of
property into a trust during your lifetime. An RLT can be used as a substitute for a
will in many respects by providing for the distribution of assets upon your death.
Unlike a will, an RLT can be established to govern the distribution and use of the
trust assets during your lifetime, which can make it a useful planning tool in the
event you become incapacitated.
Will
A will is a legal document that stipulates where you want your estate’s assets to go
after debts and taxes are paid and who is going to oversee the administration of your
estate upon death. It also specifies who will care for your minor children. Without a
will, your property would pass according to your state’s intestacy statues, which
could be counter to your intentions. Generally, it is recommended that you have your
will reviewed by an attorney at least every three or four years and upon the
occurrence of major life events such as the birth of a child or grandchild, the
marriage of a child, divorce, or the death of an heir.
Special Needs Planning
A special needs trust (SNT), a specific type of irrevocable trust is created to hold
property for a beneficiary with special needs. If you have a loved one with special
needs, you might consider creating an SNT that is administered as soon as possible
after your death. The SNT will name a guardian or guardians and ensure that the right
amount of assets and income are available to provide your love one with the best
quality of life possible. It is highly advisable that you work with an estate-planning
attorney who specializes in special-needs planning.
Business Owners
Typically, a business owner’s business is the largest asset in an estate. Therefore,
succession planning is highly advisable to determine who your successor will be or how
you wish to divide the business, or whether your business should be sold upon your
death.
Trusts
A trust is like a will in that both trust and will documents are written sets of
instruction detailing the transfer of property. A will, however, takes effect only at
your death, whereas a trust can take effect both during your life and after your
death. In addition, most trusts deal only with specific assets or property. A will
governs the overall distribution of nearly everything that makes up your estate.
Wealth Management and Retirement Planning
Taking into account your needs, goals, and tolerance for risk, we will work with you
to bring clarity to what you want to achieve and how to get there. Some of our key
services are detailed below.
401(k) and IRA Rollovers
When you leave a job or retire, you have a decision to make regarding your 401(k)
money. While leaving those assets in the former employer's plan is an option, a
rollover can be a consideration. Working with your tax advisor, we can help you
determine the right course of action for you. This may include: leaving the funds in
your existing plan, if permitted, or rolling them into your new employer's plan, if
one is available and rollovers are permitted. Each choice offers advantages and
disadvantages, depending on your specific needs and retirement plan, such as the
desired investment options and services, applicable fees, expenses, and withdrawal
options, as well as required minimum distributions and tax treatment of applicable
options.
Neither New York Life Insurance Company nor its agents offer tax
advice.

Security Professionals in Florida. Our goal is to serve clients with
unmatched excellence, so this award is a reflection of the real value
we deliver to our clients. We strive to continue to prioritize
providing reliable solutions and guidance to our clients.
We were chosen as one among a very small group of Top Financial
Security Professionals in the state to receive the recognition this
year. The list features a ranking of the best insurance professionals
whom families rely on for wealth preservation and protection.
Financial Security Professionals were selected by an independent
research firm based on various qualitative and quantitative data and
one simple notion: “Would we recommend these professionals to a family
member or friend?”. You can learn more about SHOOK Research’s
methodology here.
Neither SHOOK nor Forbes receives any compensation in exchange for
placement on its Top Financial Security Professional (FSP) rankings,
which are determined independently (see methodology). FSP refers to
professionals who are properly licensed to sell life insurance and
annuities. FSPs may also hold other credentials and licenses which
would allow them to offer investments and securities products through
those licenses. Ranking algorithm is based on qualitative measures
learned through telephone, virtual and in-person interviews to measure
best practices. Also considered: client retention, industry
experience, credentials, review of compliance records, firm
nominations; and quantitative criteria, such as: assets under
management, sales figures and revenue generated for their firms.
Investment performance is not a criterion because client objectives
and risk tolerances vary, and audited performance reports are rare.
Individuals must carefully choose the right FSP for their own
situation and perform their own due diligence. SHOOK’s research and
rankings provide opinions intended to help individuals choose the
right FSP and are not indicative of future performance or
representative of any one client’s experience. Past performance is not
an indication of future results. For more information, please see
